Jayson "La Maravilla" Vélez says he is prepared to face the biggest names in boxing

With great enthusiasm and looking forward to his next week fight, undefeated featherweight prospect Jayson "La Maravilla" Vélez said he is ready to face the biggest names in the featherweight division.

"To be the best I have to beat the best. That is the goal of every fighter”,  said Vélez (16-0, 12 KOs) amidst a media workout held in Juncos Boxing Gym.  Vélez will be the main star of "Imparable" (Unstoppable), which will go on stage on Friday, October 14th at the Coliseo Rafael G. Juncos Amalbert.

"As I said, I need to always get to the ring at 100 percent, and now at 126 pounds we know that we will achieve that goal," said the hard-hitting puncher.  He also said that his immediate goal is to get a regional title in the featherweight division and later search for the world championship at the end of next year.

"We are working step by step to get to the title opportunity and my promoter (Miguel Cotto Promotions and H2 Entertainment), is doing a great job getting me there," he said.

Total support of the Juncos City Mayor
