By Giancarlo "Mr. Boxing" Oquendo / @MRBOXING1

Featherweight contender and number 2 ranked by the WBC, Jayson "La Maravilla" Velez (21-0-15 KO's), has an apparent rival for his return to the ring on April 28 at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon.

Velez has not fought since October 5 when he faced Dat Nguyen and won by unanimous decision. Velez will be facing Miguel "Mikito" Soto who has a record of 12 wins, 2 losses and all 12 wins have ended by KO.

“La Maravilla” will be part of a card being staged by Golden Boy Promotions and PR Best Boxing, which will be broadcast on FOX Sports 1 and also will see action between Puerto Ricans John Karl Sosa, McJoe Arroyo and  Mike "The Artist "Perez.

Mikito Soto? I like the dude because he is a hard worker. But Sasso made him look ordinary.

I'm glad Velez found a way out of that Ponce DeLeon fight. He needs to fight better competition though
