By Nicolas Samuilov,

Estadio Luna Park, Buenos Aires, Distrito Federal, Argentina - WBO Latino junior middleweight champion Javier “The Beast” Maciel (27-2, 20 KOs) picked up his third knockout victory of 2013, with a fifth round stoppage of Alejandro Falliga (23-10-4, 10 KOs). Maciel let his hands go in the fifth, sending Maciel crashing and forcing the referee to wave things off. Maciel stopped Emilio Julio in fifth in February and then put away Everaldo Praxedes in two. Maciel wants a world title shot in the near future.

Maciel now moves forward to face Brian Rose in a WBO eliminator on October 26 in Sheffield, England.
