Heavyweight contender Jarrell Miller is looking to become the next big thing for Brooklyn boxing.
He believes that he has the skills to follow in the footsteps of other well known Brooklyn heavyweights, Mike Tyson, Riddick Bowe and Shannon Briggs - who are all former world champions.
This coming Saturday night at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York - Miller will return to the ring in an HBO/Sky Sports televised bout to take on Polish giant Mariusz Wach, who faces the likes of Wladimir Klitschko, Alexander Povetkin and other solid contenders.
Miller wants to make a statement to put himself in position for the major paydays against the heavyweight kings, Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker.
In his last bout, Miller broke down and stopped Gerald Washington, who earlier this year had given Wilder some trouble in the early rounds.
"You've seen Riddick Bowe, you've seen Mike Tyson, you've seen Shannon Briggs. I'm next in line," the 29-year-old exclusively told Sky Sports.
"If you know about Brooklyn, you know that Brooklyn has a pedigree, the homestead for some of the world's greatest heavyweight boxers. If you like 'Big Baby' trust me, you're going to like him after this fight, I'm coming for what's mine. Just tune in as I go for my 18th knockout against Mariusz booboo ugly Wach."
While Miller looked impressive in his last time out, he promises to look even better when he returns to the ring against Wach, as the televised co-feature to Daniel Jacobs' debut as a Matchroom fighter in a middleweight clash against Luis Arias.
"I just do what I do best, throw a lot of punches, throw hard shots and come forward. I'll definitely be a lot sharper, you're going to see a lot more head movement, a lot more footwork. But we're going to have fists in his face the whole time. We're not going to give him a second to breathe," Miller said.
