British and European bantamweight champion Jamie McDonnell (18-2, 7KOs) will not be switching trainers, as was recently reported. The Doncaster man has revealed a move to Kevin Sanders was proposed but he has decided to turn it down in favor of staying at Stefy Bull and Dave Hulley's gym in Mexborough.

"This gym is where it all started so why change it? Everything has gone good, the gym is spot on and my brother is down here as well as all my mates so moving just felt wrong," McDonnell told SecondsOut.com

McDonnell's next outing sees him pitted against Frenchman Malik Bouzaine on March 10.
