Jackson: Sergio Martinez Stops Murray in Eight, 100%

By Rick Reeno

Sampson Lewkowicz, the adviser to WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez, tells BoxingScene.com that his fighter is putting on a boxing clinic with his sparring partners. Martinez (50-2-2, 28KOs) will defend his title against unbeaten Martin Murray (25-0-1, 11KOs) on April 27th at Club Atletico in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Martinez is sparring with undefeated super middleweight prospect Julius Jackson (15-0, 11KOs), who Lewkowicz promotes under his Sampson Boxing banner. Jackson, 25, is very impressed with the speed, accuracy and power of the 38-year-old Martinez.

"Martinez is sparring with Julius Jackson Jr., the son of the legendary Julian "The Hawk" Jackson. I spoke to Jackson and he told me that Martinez is so fast, and so accurate, and so strong in training - that there is no way possible that Martin Murray will last beyond the eight round. He believes Martinez will 100% get the knockout within eight," Lewkowicz told BoxingScene.com.

Martinez himself has predicted a knockout victory in eight rounds or less.
