Jackiewicz vs. Gavin Clash Ordered For The EU Title

The EBU have ordered a mandatory welterweight fight, for the EU [European Union] championship, between Polish veteran Rafal Jackiewicz (42-10-1, 21 KOs) and undefeated British boxer Frankie Gavin (13-0, 10 KOs). The promoters for both parties, Andrzej Wasilewski and Frank Warren, have until August 28th to advise the EBU of a date and venue.

Jackiewicz is just the right opponent Gavin needs. He'll provide Gavin with the chance to go some rounds and make him work, barring a poor stoppage. I'm not too sold on Gavin power wise and this is a good step…

Good bout for Gavin. Hope he turns up. Jackiewicz very tough, got taken apart by Kell Brook but been a decent late bloomer apart from that.
