After being forced to cancel a recent fight in the United States due to a visa problem, undefeated flyweight Ivan Morales (25-0, 14KOs) of Tijuana will return on Saturday night in Ixtapa, Zihutanejo against former interim-world champion Cesar Canchila (33-4, 25 KO's) in a very risky fight. Morales was previously supposed to fight on July 25th in California.
At 22, Morales is focused on fighting for the title of the World Boxing Organization (WBO), but first he must get passed Canchila, who holds a 2009 decision win over Giovani Segura. Canchila was stopped in the sixth round of his last ring outing, which took place last November against fringe contender Breilor Teran.
"I know that Caesar Canchila is a fighter with power and experience and has great quality, but it motivates me to face a higher level of opponent in each fight to see if we are making progress," Morales said.
