Mexican bantamweight Ivan Morales (16-0, 11KOs) is set to make his American debut on March 24 in Houston, Texas. Ivan, 20-years-old, will appear on the undercard of his big brother, WBC junior welterweight champion Erik Morales, who defends his title against undefeated Danny Garcia in the HBO televised main event. Ivan is simply waiting for his visa to get approved.
This past Saturday night, Ivan scored a resounding third round TKO over experienced Ricardo Armenta at the Municipal Auditorium in Tijuana. The left hook to the stomach put Armenta down for the count of ten.
"It seems that we are going to the United States. This is something personal that I want and I hope that everything goes well because I want to be there on March 24th," Ivan said.
