Ivan Calderon-Omar Soto Possible, Raul Garcia Out

By Rey Colon

Omar "El Pastor" Soto (15-8-1, 6 KO's) of Mexico is a possible replacement for the injured Raul 'Rayito' Garcia, who was scheduled to fight former champion Ivan Calderon (34-2-1 and 6KO's) on October 29th in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. Garcia was going to face Calderon for the interim-WBO championship at 105-pounds but suffered a hand injury in training camp.

"We called to see if they wanted the fight, because Calderon's opponent is hurt, but it depends on Felix 'Tutico' Zabala, the promoter of Omar. We are ready to accept them fight," said Calderon's trainer, Carlos Rey Velez.
