Ishe Smith Inks Deal With Prize Fight, Returns on March 29

By Ryan Burton

BoxingScene.com was advised by junior middleweight contender Ishe Smith (22-5, 10KOs) that he has signed a promotional contract with Prize Fight Promotions.

The former Contender series participant has been inactive since a second round stoppage of Alexander Pacheco Quiroz in November of 2010.  Smith's return takes place on March 29th in Corpus Christi, Texas at the America Bank Center.

"I am very happy to be promoted by Prize Fight promotions. They have given me a great opportunity.  I am forever grateful to them and their staff for believing in me," stated Smith.  "Fans will see that I have a lot left.  I have never been knocked down or out.  I'm looking to bringing PrizeFight a championship," Smith continued.

@rey guey: Aw com'on man, Ishe hasn't done squat, zip, nothin, nada to merit a shot at Pirog. His only claim to "fame" was being a "Contender Series" participant. He's won only ONE fairly meaningful fight in EIGHT years, a…

good for Ishe, he needs to fight somebody. he was begging Pirog for a fight and was even willing to go to Russia but was turned down for Maciel. Prize Fight has a couple of prospect that they'll probably put…
