The last time Isaac Chilemba traveled to an opponent’s backyard for an important fight, one of the three judges and the referee were from his foe’s country.

Ekaterinburg, Russia: Isaac "Golden Boy" Chilemba (24-3-2, 10 KOs) is in for the fight of his life against the world's fiercest light heavyweight Sergey "Krusher" Kovalev (29-0-1, 26 KOs) on July 11 in Ekaterinburg, Russia but the 29-year old from Malawi is no stranger to fighting in enemy territory. The grudge match between Kovalev and Chilemba will be for the WBO, WBA and IBF Light Heavyweight World Titles.

Isaac Chilemba clearly understands his presumed role in his fight against Sergey Kovalev. Though a legitimate light heavyweight contender, the 29-year-old Chilemba is supposed to help keep Kovalev sharp on the Russian knockout artist’s way to a November 19 showdown with Andre Ward. The South African is a 16-1 underdog, has just 10 knockouts in 29 professional fights (24-3-2) and is about to challenge a dangerous foe who has knocked out 87 percent of his pro opponents.

Sergey 'Krusher' Kovalev (29-0-1, 26KOs) is not overlooking the upcoming challenge of huge underdog Isaac 'Golden Boy' Chilemba (24-3-2, 10KOs), which takes place on July 11th in Russia. Kovalev is confident that he will walk away with the WBA, IBF, WBO light heavyweight titles come Monday night.

Isaac 'Golden Boy' Chilemba (24-3-2, 10KOs) is very motivated to disrupt the lucrative plans of Sergey "Krusher" Kovalev. Chilemba will challenge Kovalev for his WBA Super, IBF and WBO light heavyweight belts on July 11th in Russia. HBO will televise the fight as part of a special Monday broadcast.

Ekaterinburg, Russia: WBO, WBA and IBF Light Heavyweight World Champion Sergey "Krusher" Kovalev recently completed the first phase of his training camp in the mountains of Armenia as he prepares to face Isaac "Golden Boy" Chilemba on July 11 in his first fight in his home country of Russia since 2011. The champ will return to the DIVS Sports Palace in Ekaterinburg, Russia to defend his three titles as part of the opening night ceremonies for the International Industry Trade Fair "INNOPROM-2016."

HBO Sports returns to Russia for the first time since 2013 to present world light heavyweight champ Sergey Kovalev’s title defense against challenger Isaac Chilemba when the fight is presented in the United States on MONDAY, JULY 11 at 10:15 p.m. ET/PT (same day tape-delayed) from the DIVS Arena in Ekaterinburg, Russia, exclusively on HBO.

Monday Night… Boxing. It doesn’t exactly have the makings of a long-running series (at least not on stateside TV), but the brass at HBO are prepared to experiment for a one-time offering if it means bringing Sergey Kovalev’s next bout to its home viewers.

While the fighting ability of Isaac Chilemba has never been in doubt, his style and lack of a set fan base will always leave the Malawi-born boxer as the B-side of any given major promotion.

It’s a homecoming that has been at least a year in the making for Sergey Kovalev, who will defend his slew of light heavyweight titles versus Isaac Chilemba on July 11 in Ekaterinburg, Russia. Efforts were previously for the unbeaten knockout artist to fight at home for the first time since Dec. ’11, but required a lot of moving parts to fall in place all at once.
