Light heavyweight contender Isaac Chilemba (20-1-1, 9KOs) had a good year, with a career turning decision win over the dangerous Edison Miranda in February and an eight round decision over veteran Rayco Saunders in September.
Promoted by Lou DiBella, Chilemba has set his sights on a world title fight in 2013. He holds the WBC's International championship.
"There is a great chance that I might go for a world title fight. My management team is busy working on this. It has been a great year. I learnt a lot as far as boxing is concerned. And as an African trying to make it internationally I am impressed," he said to The Daily Times.
"My career has been going on well, beating one of the world top fighters Edison Miranda is my highlight of year 2012 and getting name like Zsolt Edei, who unfortunately was injured, it showed that my career is heading in the right direction."
