Probably the most interesting news with respect to the heavyweight divsision was revealed by scribe Dan Rafael, which notes that HBO Sports President Ross Greenburg has called a "heavyweight summit meeting," next week at the HBO offices in New York to work out a heavyweight unification plan to crown one champion.

Don King (WBA champ Nikolai Valuev, WBO champ Sergei Liakhovich), Dennis Rappaport (WBC champ Oleg Maskaev) and Shelly Finkel (IBF champ Wladimir Klitschko) are all expected to attend the meeting.

Reaching a deal will be hard, especially with all of the outstanding mandatories, future bouts already being scheduled for some of the champions and Showtime holding an option for Liakhovich's next bout should he beat Shannon Briggs on November 4.
