| Ricardo Torres Withdraws From Kendall Holt Trilogy
By Rick Reeno BoxingScene.com has received word from more than one reliable source that Ricardo Torres has withdrawn from his trilogy bout with WBO junior welterweight champion Kendall Holt, scheduled for December 13 and televised by Showtime. One source advised BoxingScene that Torres did not properly train for the fight due an illness, was out of shape and had no chance of making the junior welterweight limit. The card, as of now, has not been cancelled. Both Showtime and Top Rank are working to save the event by finding a suitable replacement for Holt. In a shocking related story, Holt's manager, Henry Cortes, was arrested on Friday and faces conspiracy charges to distribute cocaine. |
but it's kinda shitty to pull out of a fight on such short notice?
At least he didnt show up to the weigh in, he gave his notice, it aint shitty, there have been plenty of others who have pulled out a lot closer or even the day of (Guzman), and thats shitty... |
