According to a report in The Sun , Frank Warren's recently filed lawsuit against his former fighter, Joe Calzaghe, is demanding £1million or $1.9825 million United States dollars. Calzaghe dumped Warren several weeks ago, snapping a relationship that lasted over a decade.

Calzaghe wanted to become a free agent and created his own promotional label, Joe Calzaghe Enterprises. Warren's lawsuit is claiming a breach of contract. The lawsuit claims that Calzaghe promised Warren the promotional rights to his next fight(s).

The Welsh champion was scheduled to face Roy Jones Jr. on September 20 in New York's Madison Square Garden, but suffered an injury to his right wrist last Sunday and postponed the event. The fight has since been rescheduled to November 8, with HBO pay-per-view televising. Calzaghe will be co-promoting the event with Jones' Square Ring Promotions.
