It was reported in Music Capital, that well known rap star Shawn Carter, also known as Jay-Z, is developing a scripted boxing series for sports network ESPN, called “Hit Men.”
The pilot episode will follow the lives of a diverse group of struggling athletes who all work out at the Hit Men Boxing Club. The Hit Men Boxing Club is an inner-city gym that is run by Frank Cerrones, a former boxer.
The series focuses on the lives of the fighters inside the ring and every aspect of their world outside the ring.
The pilot will film on location in Louisiana, beginning the first week of December.
