BoxingScene.com's Keith Idec reported in the Herald News that former heavyweight champion Riddick Bowe (42-1, 33 KOs) is campaigning for a third meeting with Andrew Golota (40-6-1, 33 KOs, 1 NC).

Bowe was ringside at New York's Madison Square Garden last Saturday and watched Golota come from behind to stop Kevin McBride in the sixth round. Later in the night, Bowe began to publicly tell promoter Don King that he is ready to fight Golota for a third time. In both of his bouts with Golota, Bowe took a terrible beating, but still managed to win both fights after Golota was disqualified, also in both fights, for repeated low blows.

The last bout with Golota took place almost eleven years ago, and Bowe has only fought twice since then. Bowe, 40, has been inactive since April of 2005, with several fights being scheduled and cancelled over the two years.
