Igor Michalkin (14-1) will now face Mohamed Belkacem (21-6-2) on April 11 or May 16 in Berlin with EC promoting the fight. Belkacem, fighting out of Switzerland and only ranked # 18, by the EBU comes in on short notice after Nadjib Mohammedi (34-3) pulled to participate in a IBF eliminator in the US vs. Anatolij Dudchenko (19-2). Mohamed lost to Mohammedi in 2012 and Michalkin now appears to have an exellent chance to win a prestigeous title.
