| Humberto Soto Pushing On, Starts Sparring For Sasaki
|

By Miguel Rivera WBC lightweight champion Humberto "Zorrita" Soto, accompanied by his representative, Antonio Lozada, left his camp in Temoaya to take a brief trip to Los Mochis on Friday. Soto returned to camp over the weekend and he is training hard for the next defense of his championship on June 25 against Japanese boxer Motoki Sasaki. Soto is now at the strongest stage of his training and on Monday he starts some very tough sparring sessions against Rogelio Castañeda, Antonio "Cañitas" Lozada, Pablo Gaxiola and other top prospects from the Temoaya municipal gym, and directed by renowned trainer Tiburcio Garcia. Because he's a good fighter not a great fighter!!! He's capable of beating solid fighters but not top notch fighters. Remember the egg he laid against Joan Guzman?! |
