Humberto Soto To Make Ring Return on October Date

Former champion Humberto "Zorrita" Soto (58-8-2, 34KOs) will return on a date in October, in Mexico, on a Televisa broadcast - according to manager Antonio Lozada of Baja Boxing. Soto's return bout will be scheduled for ten rounds and the opponent will be announced shortly.

On June 23rd in Los Angeles, Soto was stopped for the first time in his career when heavy-handed junior welterweight Lucas Matthysse stopped him within five rounds.

"We are close to finalizing a contest against a good opponent. This week we will have the complete information. Soto is not dead and we are confident that he will return to the limelight," said Lozada.

Anyone seen that Soto fight vs the Brazilian before the Mathysse showdown? Man, that Brazilian was freaking hilarious. When watching that fight I told myself, Mathysse is gonna K this fool OUT. Anyway, that Brazilian dude was NUTS. :lol1:
