The brand new interim-bantamweight world champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), Hugo "Cuatito" Ruiz (29-1, 26KOs) hit Los Cabos for his fight with Venezuelan Yonfrez Parejo (11-0, 4KOs) on March 31. Ruiz vows to knock Parejo out within twelve rounds.

"This is over quickly. I have knowledge of what my opponent does. I can say that I've seen some of what he has done in boxing. He is a good fighter who has speed with his attacks, and knows how to move well on the defensive, but I think that ultimately it will be inevitable that he won't reach the final round," Ruiz said.
"The preparation that we did upon arriving to Los Cabos has been great and God willing we'll get rid of this commitment and set our sights on Koki Kameda, but before that we need to win this Saturday."
