According to promoter Andrzej Wasilewski, a deal has been reached for mandatory challenger Krzysztof Glowacki (24-0, 15 KOs) to take on WBO cruiserweight champion Marco Huck (38-2-1, 26 KOs). A purse bid was scheduled for tomorrow and Wasilewski revealed it is now canceled. A date of June 12th, in the United States, is being touted as the tentative details for the planned match.
"The purse bid for the fight between Glowacki and Huck is canceled. We have come to an agreement, the fight planned in the United States, and the initial date is June 12th," Wasilewski stated.
Huck has been champion since August 2009. The Glowacki secured the mandatory challenger status on the last day of January, when he defeated Nuri Seferego on points.
