STUTTGART, GERMANY - Super middleweight Tyron Zeuge (12-0, 6 KOs), 21, scored a shutout win over rugged Georgian Georgy Berishvili (10-1-2, 4 KOs) over ten rounds to acquire a vacant WBO Youth 168lb title. Zeuge dropped a hard-nosed lanky Georgian in the second with a picture-perfect left uppercut / right hook combo to the head, and easily cruised to win every other round. 22-year old Berishvili proved to be an unskillful but willing opponent, but Zeuge was easily out of any danger. Scores were 100-89 (thrice) - all in favour of the young German.

---------------------------

Italian super welterweight Emanuele Blandamura (22-0, 6KOs) upset defending EU champion Marcos Nader (18-1-1, 3KOs) and won a split decision after twelve fast paced rounds of boxing. It was scored 117-111 and 115-113 for Blandamura and 115-113 for Nader. Many rounds were difficult to score as the two worked very hard but neither had the power to hurt the other. Nader was physically stronger and carried the slightly heavier punch but Blandamura's workrate took over the fight and he finished strongly.  Still, the decision in his favor came as a surprise as effective punching is what counts in professional boxing.

--------------------------------

Light heavyweight Enrico Koelling (12-0) won the vacant WBO Youth title with an easy third round stoppage of Georgian Paata Aduashvili (a claimed 12-1-2). Aduashvili, a southpaw, went down three times in the third after left hooks to the body and referee Mickey Vann stopped it at 2-08. It was scheduled for ten. Koelling impressed with a high workrate and looked good but Aduashvili was not in his league.

---------------------------

Former British Olympian and once a heavyweight hopeful David Price has kicked off his comeback tour under a new aegis with an easy blowout of Hungarian journeyman Isztvan Ruzsinszky (12-10-1, 8 KOs) in the very first round. Price landed two consecutive right bombs to put his opponent down. Ruzsinszky beat the count but was in no position to continue, as he was waved off by the referee. Exact time was 2:00. Price is now 16-2, with 14 KOs.

--------------------------

In a battle of two unbeatens, cruiserweight Noel Gevor moved to 10-0, with 6 KOs, after a convincing seventh-round TKO over Loris Emiliani (10-1, 7 KOs) of Switzerland.

Gevor, 23, controlled the contest firmly from the very first round. Unlike some Hungarian or Georgian fighters, Emiliani, 31, showed some skills but fighting just for the fourth time since his lengthy lay-off (The Swiss fighter was inactive in 2006-2011), he wasn't the same as in his best fights before the hiatus. Gevor decked Emiliani with a hard right hand to the chin in the second round and continued his domination in the next rounds. The Swiss boxer was passive and rarely countered Gevor, while the latter was active with his jab and right hands. The end came at 1:54 of the seventh round after a right hand followed by the left hook to the liver by the German. Emiliani went down on a knee and was unable to regain an upright position in time.

---------------------------

Rising Swedish southpaw Otto Wallin (5-0, 3 KOs) scored a workmanlike four-round unanimous decision over Hungarian trialhorse Ferenc Zsalek (12-40-3, 1 KO) in an uneventful one-sided beating. Zsalek, 28, tried to offer some resistance to Wallin's weak but frequent combinations in the first two rounds. Then he ran out of gas and was content just to hang on till the final bell. Wallin's power wasn't enough to put him down, and the 23-year old Swede didn't impress in any other department as well. Zsalek was deducted a point by referee Ingo Barrabas after four intentional headbutts.

Price is done, confidence is absolutely shot to shit. He can throw a good combination, works the body well for a man his size but he's just too worried to try it now.
Price stops opponent in round 1. Pointless fight. Price's footwork is still crap.
yeah I thought that too. he was back pedalling with short steps & pawing a jab. if he is going to add the jab to his arsenal he needs to snap it. he could have won in 30 seconds with a quick one...

Last fight before the main event.

Price looked very promising before the Thompson fights. He seemed like a Klit, but with deadly combinations. If he can manage to improve his defense and stamina, maybe he can still be something.
