Hryunov: Golovkin Should Fight Nielsen-Chudinov Winner

By Yuri Tarantin (Allboxing.ru) and Alexey Sukachev

On June 1, at Mytischi Arena in a nearby city of Mytischi, several kms north to Moscow, WBA #1 middleweight Dmitry Chudinov (12-0-2, 8 KOs) will take on undefeated WBA #4 Dane Patrick Nielsen (22-0, 11 KOs) in a bid for the WBA interim title and in the biggest fight of his career so far. Chudinov was previously rumoured to collide with WBA #2 Australian Jarrod Fletcher (18-1, 10 KOs) but that fight never came into fruition.

Meanwhile, Fletcher is viewed as a possible opponent for indomitable WBA champion Gennady Golovkin (29-0, 26 KOs). The WBA set Fletcher as a mandatory challenger for Golovkin's title and gave Team Golovkin a month to negotiate this fight with Team Fletcher. Vladimir Hryunov, a co-promoter of the June 1 show alongside Sauerland Event, is ensured that Golovkin should face a different opponent for his belt.

"I have talked with Tom Loeffler, Gennady's promoter and we have agreed that the winner of the upcoming fight between Patrick and Dmitry is much more worthy to get a shot at Gennady's title than Jarrod Fletcher. Chudinov is rated #1 by the WBA and Fletcher is ranked #2. If Chudinov is able to overcome Nielsen on the first summer day of 2014, then we could stage his battle with Golovkin in Moscow later in the fall", said Hryunov to Allboxing.ru.
lol, Loeffler only interested because of Hyrunov's pockets. Nieslen wins anyway, so there goes that
Nielsen will never be a top fighter but he will beat Hryunovs guy.

Hryunov is crazy enough to put up big money for a Chudinov-GGG fight.
Agreed, but if he vacates, he's going to have an even harder time finding people to fight him.
He also enters the rankings again. The governing bodies usually play ball with the names when they're mando.... but IBF have actually…
Golovkin should probably consider vacating the title if he gets the Geale fight. Nielsen-Chudinov-Fletcher are all a waste of time.
Agreed, but if he vacates, he's going to have an even harder time finding people to fight him.
