Hosea Burton Ready For Showcase in Rotherham, June 8

Rising star to appear on "Real Steel" undercard. After a spectacular knockout during his professional debut last month, Hosea “The Hammer” Burton will look to be just as explosive when he graces the square circle on June 8th in Rotherham.

Taking his place on the undercard of “Real Steel”, at the Magna Science Centre in six weeks time, the super middleweight created a bit of a buzz after demolishing Viktor Tzonev in one round last time out, a performance that was screened on Sky Sports boxing magazine show ‘Ringside’ days later.

If he successfully negotiates his way past Joe Jones at ‘The Big Bang’ in Liverpool this month, the 23-year old Mancunian will look to lay down “The Hammer” once again on the undercard of the much anticipated British light welterweight title eliminator between Curtis Woodhouse and Dale Miles.

“I wouldn’t care if I had to fight every week,” declared Burton.

“I’d like to have as many fights as possible (this year) and with training going good for Liverpool, I’ll be all set for Rotherham too. I can’t wait.”

Promoter David Coldwell is looking forward to seeing his young star shine in June on such an eagerly awaited show.

“Obviously that fight (Woodhouse vs Miles) is going to get a lot of attention because it’s a massive showdown so it’s a great chance to showcase him (Hosea).

“The idea is to get him active and keep him in the public eye. I really do rate the kid. I really believe he can go on to be on of the big names in the domestic division in years to come.”

David Coldwell for Coldwell Boxing presents “Real Steel” from the Magna Science Centre in Rotherham on Friday 8th June 2012. Tickets are available at £30 and remaining ringside tickets are priced at £60. Act now to take your seat for one of the fights of the year!
