WBO welterweight champion Jeff Horn (17-0-1, 11 KOs) is shaking his head at the constant excuses being made, week after week, since he won a twelve round unanimous decision over Manny Pacquiao in a huge upset before 51,000 fans at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia.

The scores were  117-111, 115-113 and 115-113.

Pacquiao's team protested the decision and the WBO conducted their investigation, which saw five independent judges scoring the fight - and the sanctioning body ruled that Horn was the rightful.

Pacquiao (59-7-2, 38 KOs) and his handlers have claimed that Horn fought a very dirty fight and was intentionally using his head. But others in Pacquiao's camp have said the boxer, now 38 years old, got old overnight.

"Everyone keeps coming up with excuses for Manny but the truth is I beat him in the middle of the day," Horn told CBS Sports during an appearance on the "In This Corner with Brian Campbell" podcast.

Horn is still very annoyed at the commentary during and after the ESPN televised broadcast - primarily the criticism that was coming from Teddy Atlas and  Stephen A. Smith - who both called the fight a daylight robbery.

"It was a bit disappointing how those guys have commentated about the fight, but there's nothing I can do about it or go back and change," Horn said. "Hopefully they can be a bit more two-sided when it comes to a possible rematch.

"I don't know [what they were watching]. Maybe they were just watching Pacquiao and not watching me. It's not really something I sort of looked much into. I just kind of let them have their opinions. I was just thinking, 'Is this guy for real [when Atlas told me to my face that I lost during our interview]. "I don't know, it just came out of left field for him to say that but I wasn't going to let him bring me down at that time."
