Hopkins vs Dawson on October 15 is Reportedly Close

By Edward Chaykovsky

According to various reports, WBC light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins (52-5-2, 32 KOs) will defend his title against mandatory challenger Chad Dawson (30-1, 17 KOs) on the likely date of October 15 in a fight that is going to reportedly take place on HBO pay-per-view. Dawson, a former WBC/IBO champion, is one fight removed from his technical decision loss to Jean Pascal, who Hopkins fought to a disputed draw and then Hopkins made history by beating Pascal by decision to become the oldest champion in boxing history.

[QUOTE=tlarry;10743235]Bhop is afraid of NOBODY. Martinez won't move up to fight Bhop. David Haye is about to get knocked out by a Klitschko. Holyfield won't fight a guy his age named Bernard Hopkins, so BHop just as well clean out…
