Hopkins vs Dawson on October 15 is Reportedly Close

By Edward Chaykovsky

According to various reports, WBC light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins (52-5-2, 32 KOs) will defend his title against mandatory challenger Chad Dawson (30-1, 17 KOs) on the likely date of October 15 in a fight that is going to reportedly take place on HBO pay-per-view. Dawson, a former WBC/IBO champion, is one fight removed from his technical decision loss to Jean Pascal, who Hopkins fought to a disputed draw and then Hopkins made history by beating Pascal by decision to become the oldest champion in boxing history.
I'm just amazed at how an almost 50 yr. old Hopkins fights 2-3 times a year, unlike 80 percent of the "top guys". I love an active fighter.
$$$. BHop doesn't make anywhere near what either Floyd or Pac pull in…

PROPS to B-Hop for fighting the BEST FIGHTERS IN HIS DIVISION and not making excuses like some of these fighters at their LAME A$$ FANS Even though I think Dawson will beat him, I think B-Hop will bring the best…
Bhop is afraid of NOBODY. Martinez won't move up to fight Bhop. David Haye is about to get knocked out by a Klitschko. Holyfield won't fight a guy his age named Bernard Hopkins, so BHop just as well clean out…
