Holyfield: Klitschkos Have To Realize Payday Potential

In a recent interview with Sky Sports, former four time heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield issued another challenger to the Klitschko brothers - advising them to take the opportunity to "probably make the biggest payday of their lives" by fighting him. Holyfield, 49, has no interest in hanging up the gloves just yet, instead calling out the two biggest names in the division. Wladimir has the WBO/IBO/WBA/IBF titles, while older brother Vitali has the WBC crown.

"Age ain't nothing but a number," Holyfield told Sky Sports. "They (the Klitschkos) have got an opportunity to probably make the biggest payday of their lives fighting Evander Holyfield. They are telling everyone that they respect me, and that they don't want to beat me up.

"But I fought George Foreman, I fought Larry Holmes, and I said the same thing. I said that I wouldn't get any credibility from beating someone older. They said 'but, we are going to get you 20 million, what do you think?'. I said make sure that guy wants to fight me, because I don't want it to look like I fought that older guy, but that he fought me. With the Klitschkos, they aren't choosing to fight me, I've said I'll fight them. All they got to do is realize that both of us will make money, then we'll see who the winner is."

But it takes a real man to support that kid. Is Holyfield paying for all 11 kids? if so what a great dad. If not hang him up and tie his tubes. I hope he is paying for every one…

Let Holyfield have a big money fight with all the loot going to the 9 wives and 11 kids directly. heck Holyfield is 50 years old time to pay for the kids.

They might make a little more against a faded legend than against Mormeck, Chisora or Charr, but it's to their credit that they won't take the fight. It would be a massacre and could have terrible consequences for Holyfield. Won't…
