Ernest Gabion catches up with undefeated junior welterweight contender Danny Garcia to discuss his recent win over former champion Kendall Holt, what's next for his career and more.

Danny Garcia won a twelve round split decision by simply outworked the under-achieving Kendall Holt, who again looked for the one punch knockout that never materialized. What fight was judge Wayne Hedgepath watching?

Paulie Malignaggi has his own fight to think about first, but the former IBF junior welterweight champ is very interested in watching the bout HBO Pay-Per-View will televise Saturday night after Malignaggi opposes Orlando Lora at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Staoles Center, Los Angeles - Danny Garcia (22-0, 14KOs) got the biggest win of his career with a dominating twelve round split decision over former junior welterweight champion Kendall Holt (27-5, 15KOs). The scores were odd. A criminal 115-113 for Holt, 117-111 for Garcia and 117-111 for Garcia.

Staples Center, Los Angeles - The weights are in for Saturday's HBO Pay-Per-View. In the main event, WBC light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins will defend his title against mandatory challenger Chad Dawson. Hopkins weighed 173.4-pounds, and Dawson was 174.2-pounds. Both fighters were in great shape.

Kendall Holt senses some overconfidence in Danny Garcia. Based on what he’s heard from Garcia throughout the promotion of their 12-round junior welterweight fight Saturday night in Los Angeles, the former WBO junior welterweight champion determined Garcia thinks Holt is the same fading fighter he was the night South African underdog Kaizer Mabuza beat him over six one-sided rounds 19 months ago in Atlantic City.

"Believe It Or Not!: Bernard Hopkins vs. Chad Dawson" is a 12-round bout for Hopkins' WBC and Ring Magazine Light Heavyweight World Championship Titles taking place on Saturday, Oct. 15 at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, Calif. and will be produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View® beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT. The event is presented by Golden Boy Promotions and Gary Shaw Productions and sponsored by Cerveza Tecate, AT&T and Ripley's Believe It or Not. In addition to this championship main event showdown, the televised pay-per-view undercard will also feature: Antonio DeMarco vs. Jorge Linares in a 12-round fight for the vacant WBC Lightweight World Title; Kendall Holt vs. Danny Garcia in 12-round bout for the vacant NABO Junior Welterweight Title; and Paulie Malignaggi vs. Orlando Lora in a 10-round welterweight bout. DeMarco vs. Linares is presented in association with Teiken Promotions. Read on to see what all of the participants had to say at the final pre-fight press conference, which was held Thursday afternoon in downtown Los Angeles:

BERNARD HOPKINS, WBC & Ring Magazine Light Heavyweight World Champion “I would like to say it is good to be back in Los Angeles. I made history here years back with Howard Eastman in the middleweight division with my 20 title defenses. I am excited to be back making that history.

Danny Garcia isn’t overly impressed by Kendall Holt’s two knockout wins this year. Holt bounced back from a surprising February 2010 loss to South African underdog Kaizer Mabuza by scoring spectacular one-punch technical knockouts against journeyman Lenin Arroyo and former IBF lightweight champ Julio Diaz. The hard-hitting Holt’s left hook knocked out Arroyo (20-15-1, 4 KOs) in the first round Jan. 29 in Pontiac, Mich., and dealt Diaz (38-7, 27 KOs) a career-crushing loss in the third round May 13 in Santa Ynez, Calif.
