Well known trainer Rudy Hernandez was recently in Moscow, at the invitation of promotional company "World of Boxing" and gave his thoughts on the upcoming WBO/WBA/IBF light heavyweight unification between 49-year-old Bernard Hopkins of Philadelphia and hard-punching Sergey Kovalev or Russia. The fight takes place this coming Saturday night at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

"I hope that he knocks Hopkins out," said Hernandez. "Right now Hopkins is taking up a space and it's to give it to others. Kovalev is a powerful puncher, he has a good technique. If Kovalev only had striking power and was not very good in terms of his boxing skills, he would lose. But, I believe that he is a very good boxer. He is just as clever as Gennady Golovkin. I believe, therefore, I believe that he beats Hopkins."
