Helenius vs Liakhovich Talk is Confirmed By Duva

By Luke Furman

In an interview with BoxingScene.com/Bokser.org, Main Events CEO Kathy Duva has confirmed rumors that former heavyweight champion Sergei Liakhovich (25-3, 16 KOs) is going to challenge dangerous rising heavyweight star Robert Helenius (15-0, 10 KOs). The fight is going to happen on July 16 in Berlin. The venue is still unknown, although the Max Schmeling Halle is a natural.

"I told him that we can arrange an easier fight, but he did not want to wait. He did not want even to hear about it and kept saying 'give me the match, I can beat anyone'" - Duva said.

Lyakhovich is the third former HW champion opponent for Helenius. He's building a good resume.
