Helenius Back in Training, Hernandez Still Not Cleared

By Per Ake Persson

The Nordic Nightmare, heavyweight Robert Helenius, and IBF cruiserweight champ Yoan Pablo Hernandez, joined manager Wilfried Sauerland on a trip to the Hall of Fame weekend in Canastota and then the two fighters headed over to Miami for ten days of continued rehab training

Helenius (17-0, 11KOs) is now almost back in full training after the serious shoulder injury he suffered in the fight against Dereck Chisora late last year. No comeback fight have been set yet and Robert told Finnish journalist Juhani Gronberg there is still concern about overworking the shoulder.

In regards to Hernandez (26-1, 13KOs), he suffered a broken hand against Steve Cunningham in February and vowed to return quickly but he is still not medically cleared.

Would like to see Helenius fight a quick fight against someone like Jonathon Banks, Travis Walker, Ruslan Chagaev, etc. Hernandez is on top at CW after beating Cunningham. Would love to see him clean out CW before going to HW…

Hope Helenius can get back to top form. In good health this guy can do some serious damage in the hw division.
