Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport, wrote in his Daily Mail column that he wants to match Olympic gold medal winner Anthony Joshua (10-0) against EBU/British heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (23-0) in a very high profile event next summer.

Fury beat up Dereck Chisora last Saturday night for an easy TKO win in their rematch, and now holds the WBO's status as the mandatory challenger to Wladimir Klitschko, who is like to return in late April against unbeaten contender Bryant Jennings.

Joshua is going to face Kevin Johnson in last January and Fury is slated to return in late February. With Klitschko fighting at the end of April, Fury has the option of waiting for a Klitschko fight in the fall - with no guarantee it will happen - or negotiate a big payday against Joshua at home.

"Tyson Fury is on the horizon for next summer. We are moving towards the inevitable, which is a fight with Fury and the other top domestic fighters. It's going to be great times for British boxing. People ask if AJ is ready to fight Fury but, to be honest, is Fury ready to fight AJ? I believe this is a fight that will bring both men to new levels in terms of financial rewards. It's a numbers game and these numbers add up," Hearn revealed.
