Hearn on Brook: Mayweather, Pacquiao Are '15 Goals

By Edward Chaykovsky

IBF welterweight Kell Brook (33-0, 22KOs) is potentially going to become one of the most sought after opponents in the welterweight division. Brook finally arrived at the top level of his division on Saturday night in Carson, after winning a twelve round majority decision over undefeated Shawn Porter to capture the IBF belt.

Brook, promoted by Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport, has no ties to any of the American networks or any of the American promoters - making him a possible opponent for every welterweight name promoted by both Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotions.

"I've mentioned the names - Pacquiao, Mayweather. Those are the long-term goals but now it's about going back to Britain and celebrating a new world champion. We'll be doing a lot of planning over the next couple of weeks. We'll look for that big fight next year - maybe with Khan or maybe with Pacquiao or Mayweather," Hearn told Sky Sports.

Pac/Brook unification in UK. ^What fairy land do you live in? Brook & Bradley might as well surrender their belts to May & Pac....why bother fighting them...beat the rest of the competition & hold onto your reputation & belts intill…

Brook needs to go for the cash now. 1 loss and he may very well blow his opportunity for a big Payday. Fight Khan... if he wins, go straight to Floyd or PAC. 2 fights should net him around 10…

Marquez thinks he's entitled to another title shot. He lost to Bradley so he has to earn another title shot. Ducking Provo and facing/beating Alvarado doesn't merit another title shot. If he goes through another soft touch and avoids tougher…

Poor JMM. Brook is not thinking about him. JMM left out in the cold once more... His fault for losing to Bradley. Now he is in the back of the line again.

Brook may have a couple of options of a decent payday, but I don't see him fighting Manny or Floyd anytime soon. If he wants a shot at either one of those 2, he needs to beat a top level…
