New York - Matchroom Sports CEO Eddie Hearn, who promotes IBF, IBO, WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs), is confident that his boxer will score a knockout victory over WBC champion Deontay Wilder (39-0, 38 KOs).

Wilder was in action last Saturday night, when he knocked out Bermane Stiverne in a single round at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Joshua was in the ring two weeks ago before a massive crowd of 78,000 in Cardiff, where he stopped tough contender Carlos Takam in the tenth round.

For the last few weeks, Wilder has been calling for a fight with Joshua. He believes that there is no question as to outcome - a vicious knockout of the British star.

But Joshua has been rather quiet as Wilder continues to rain down a verbal assault on a daily basis.

"He's not the type of guy to come out and say 'I'll knock Deontay Wilder out.' He knows he will and he will. He believes it, but you won't hear him say it, because he's humble and he's not gonna change," Hearn told BoxingScene.com.

"I'll say it. Anthony Joshua knocks out Deontay Wilder every day of the week - including twice on a Sunday. But there is no point in talking about until we sit at the table. The good news is for fight fans - is that process is starting. And the good news is for fight fans - is that fight will happen in 2018."

Hearn watched Wilder's most recent win and saw nothing to take away from that victory, because Stiverne only threw four punches and missed all of them.

"I didn't learn anything new. I don't think that you can possibly learn anything from that fight that you didn't already know. Deontay Wilder is a reckless, big puncher. If you want to give him props for beating Bermane Stiverne ... a guy who didn't throw a punch in the fight, a guy who boxed like once in three years.... not really. But he dealt with his mandatory and he dealt with it impressively," Hearn said.
