Hearn: Froch Situation To Be Sorted in Next Few Days

Carl Froch should discover this week whether his next fight will be a lucrative rematch with Mikkel Kessler or a world title defence against Adonis Stevenson. Froch is keen to set the record straight against Kessler after he was beaten on points by the 'Viking Warrior' in Herning in 2010.

The 36-year-old is willing to give up his IBF super middleweight crown for a second crack at the Dane, who destroyed Brian Magee in three rounds to win the WBA version in December.

"We should know something in the next few days," promoter Eddie Hearn told the Nottingham Post. "If the Kessler fight is finalized we can apply for an exemption from the IBF. If we have to give up the belt to fight Kessler, so be it."

Kessler, 46-2, has been offered a 50/50 split to fight in England.

"Considering we bring 70% to the pot, it is a very generous offer. It is a lot of money, but it is the only way we can get him here. It is up to him now. Does he come here for a rematch with Carl or take another easy defence in Copenhagen?"

[QUOTE=Andrew5550;12900909]If you aren't new to the sport of boxing, you should know better than make those claims about Kessler, of which you know absolutely nothing about. And if you really want to prove me wrong, give up some reason. Because…

Hopefully it gets worked out...I think Kessler is physically ready for a big fight right now and you never know how big that window might be. especially since he could be a cut or headbutt away from another serious re-injury…
