Hearn: Froch Situation To Be Sorted in Next Few Days

Carl Froch should discover this week whether his next fight will be a lucrative rematch with Mikkel Kessler or a world title defence against Adonis Stevenson. Froch is keen to set the record straight against Kessler after he was beaten on points by the 'Viking Warrior' in Herning in 2010.

The 36-year-old is willing to give up his IBF super middleweight crown for a second crack at the Dane, who destroyed Brian Magee in three rounds to win the WBA version in December.

"We should know something in the next few days," promoter Eddie Hearn told the Nottingham Post. "If the Kessler fight is finalized we can apply for an exemption from the IBF. If we have to give up the belt to fight Kessler, so be it."

Kessler, 46-2, has been offered a 50/50 split to fight in England.

"Considering we bring 70% to the pot, it is a very generous offer. It is a lot of money, but it is the only way we can get him here. It is up to him now. Does he come here for a rematch with Carl or take another easy defence in Copenhagen?"

[QUOTE=Andrew5550]The fella who said it claimed that Kessler had already accepted he would lose, as if he's a shot old champion. Actually he's younger than Froch, but that is besides the point. Listen, I have the utmost respect for anyone who gives reason for the opinion and write it like you jus...

[QUOTE=cameltoe]No one is doubting Kessler, he is a great champion and had a great career, so get off your high horse on that one. People are entitled to their opinions and just because someone else isn't riding Kessler's helmet like you clearly are, doesn't mean they don't respect him. To me...

[QUOTE=Andrew5550]If you aren't new to the sport of boxing, you should know better than make those claims about Kessler, of which you know absolutely nothing about. And if you really want to prove me wrong, give up some reason. Because as far as my memory goes Kessler has fought and competed with...

Hopefully it gets worked out...I think Kessler is physically ready for a big fight right now and you never know how big that window might be. especially since he could be a cut or headbutt away from another serious re-injury at anytime. it looks like he has adjusted to his eye issue, much bette...
