Macau, China - It's no secret that trainer Freddie Roach would love to get Danny Garcia in the ring with Manny Pacquiao (29-0, 17KOs).

The Filipino superstar is back in action tomorrow night, when he defends his WBO welterweight title against Chris Algieri, who holds the WBO world title at 140-pounds. Their fight is taking place at a catch-weight of 144-pounds.

If Pacquiao feels good in the Algieri fight, he will likely move down in weight to 140-pounds. Garcia, who holds the WBC/WBA titles at junior welterweight, is Roach's opponent of choice for Pacquiao's first fight back at 140.

Garcia is managed by Al Haymon, who also works with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Roach has often blamed Haymon for being a disruptive force in finalizing a Mayweather-Pacquiao deal.

When it comes to Garcia, Roach is not expecting any problems. He feels confident about Haymon allowing Garcia to face Pacquiao.

"I think he'll give Garcia up. He won't give Mayweather up, but he might have to give us [Garcia]. He can't just have 160 fighters and not have them fight outside that box, unless he's trying to be like MMA and monopolize boxing, and I don't think that's possible. His guys are just fighting each other and that gets boring when you have the same guys.  He might give Garcia up for that," Roach said.

But if there is a problem with Haymon, Roach has no issue with having Pacquiao fight a top contender to become Garcia's mandatory and force the fight.

"We can't really worry about Al Haymon trying to control the boxing world," Roach said. "We'll have to face him as a mandatory or they have to give up the title. If we have to resort to that we will. There are still mandatories in boxing and Al Haymon can't control that."
