Haye Wants To Steer Groves in The Direction of DeGale

DAVID HAYE wants to steer George Groves to a glittering boxing career – and he reckons he can upset Olympic gold medal winner James DeGale in the process.

David Haye’s Hayemaker Promotions won the right to stage the battle between their fighter Groves and DeGale.

Londoner DeGale will be defending his British super-middleweight title against Commonwealth champ Groves and it will be a cracker, with no love lost between the pair.

No date or venue has been set yet – though the fight has to take place before April 11.

Groves refers to DeGale, who he beat in his amateur days, as ‘Destined To Fail’ while the Olympic gold medallist calls Groves ‘Ugly Kid’.

Haye said: “We’re very hopeful of George’s chances, he has bags of potential and the fight is a great match-up.”

Haye is planning on going out with a bang then! Groves is going to get KO'd within 7 rounds by DeGale and if Haye and Groves lose, then Booth might want to get ready for retirement with Haye as Hayemaker…
