David Haye may have announced a comeback, but the former cruiserweight champion and WBA heavyweight title-holder has ruled out an all-British clash with Manchester’s Tyson Fury.

They were due to fight in 2013, but the proposed meetings were put on ice due to injuries suffered by Haye, who has not fought since stopping Dereck Chisora in the fifth round in 2012.  The Londoner plans to get himself back into title contention yet refuses to consider a bout with the highly-rated 26-year-old.

“I'll be back, 100 per cent I'll fight again—I'm in no rush to name a date or an opponent, but it will definitely happen,” said Haye, 26-2 (24), when speaking to the Daily Mirror.

“I was ringside at the Carl Froch-George Groves fight last year, and I realised how much I had missed big stadium fights.  Fury can forget it, though.  It's just not going to happen—destiny has decided he's not going to get a payday out of me.  If he had fought me, he would have been lying on the floor when I knocked him out after a round, laughing all the way to the bank.

"He's said on numerous occasions he's not in it for titles, or to create a legacy, all he's interested in is the money.  Why should I help someone with that attitude walk away with millions when most great fighters don't make that kind of money?  He would be cheating his way to Millionaires' Row, and I would hate to be an accessory to that.”

Fury is next in line for Wladimir Klitschko, who faces Bryant Jennings in New York on May 25th, so is he is unlikely to call for a fight with Haye.  The 24-0 (18) contender stopped Christian Hammer (W RTD 8) in February and hopes to secure a world title shot sometime this year.
