Haye: After I KO Wladimir, Vitali Will Withdraw For Me

By Brian Woolnough, courtesy of The Daily Star

DAVID HAYE last night told Wladimir Klitschko: I’ll KO you and then I’m coming for your brother later this year.

David Haye says he will beat Wladimir by round six on Saturday and then smash older brother Vitali before October 13.

That is the date when Britain’s world heavyweight champion wants to retire from the sport as undisputed king of the division. He said: “That’s the plan and my thinking behind it.

“I don’t think Vitali believes his brother is going to lose to me. He hasn’t seriously contemplated having to change his plans.

“He has an arena booked somewhere in Poland for his next fight and he has done a press conference already.

“He won’t be able to resist me once I have beaten his brother.

“Let’s get this one done and hopefully we can do that one.

“My retirement date has never changed.

“If it’s possible to squeeze big brother in, it will be done.”

Haye is expecting every dirty trick in the book from Wladimir on Saturday in their unification showdown.

He has warned Klitschko that if he keeps him waiting in the ring before the fight he’ll go back to the dressing room.

Haye said: “I have talked about it with my manager and we are prepared to go back to the dressing room if the wait is too long.”

[QUOTE=ChopperRead;10761492]One thing people get wrong is the notion that if by some miracle Haye beats Wlad, Vitali will fight Haye and Wlad will fight Adamek. The Adamek deal calls for a title fight against a Klitschko to be named by…

[QUOTE=edgarg;10761135]Personally, I believe that you have it a bit wrong. I am reasonably certain that haye has NOT got "under" Klitschko's skin, but the opposite. I believe that Haye has become more and more desperate at the imperturbability of Klitschko,…
