WBA interim-middleweight champion Hassan N’dam N’jikam (25-0, 17 KO ) has announced that he reached an agreement to fight tough former title challenger Giovanni Lorenzo (29-3, 21 KO ) at the Palace Palestre of Cannet on April 2.

“After my fight against Avtandil Khurtsidze, I rested and I visited my parents in Cameroon. I saw my last fight and I know now that I should have to put more pressure on my opponent. Lorenzo is a boxer and he has a solid boxing background. To me, he never lost his two world championships fights against Sebastian Sylvester and Felix Sturm. It is a good test. I'll fight in style. I already started my preparation," N'dam said.

Th fight against Khurtzidse made clear that N'dam is not ready yet for a championship fight. The next fight against Lorenzo is perfect for him. But after that they should try to fight against Sylvester, thats a beltholder N'kam could beat right now.

The WBA is the worst sanctioning organization. - They let both Sturm and N'Jikam duck Golovkin. - They let Haye fight Harrison, and put him in their rankings at Haye's request. - They let Guillermo Jones go two years without defending his title - etc.
So, if everybody is ducking Golovkin, and everybody is ducking Pirog, they should fight. Would be a total war. If we're lucky, it's going to happen anyway. Who wants to see them beat up bums for a few years?
I'd love to see that fight. Sturm also stated in an interview...
