Hank Lundy Dominates Williams, Ayala Defeats Mitchell

Foxwoods Resort, Mashantucket, Connecticut -  Lightweight contender Hanky Lundy (22-1-1, 11KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over Dannie Williams (21-2, 17KOs) in an NABF title bout. The scores were 98-91, 97-92 and 97-92. After two minutes of the first round, there was a cut on the nose of Williams, but in the final minute Williams scored a knockdown. However, Lundy controlled most of the remaining nine rounds with his jab, counter-punching and a sharp punching from both hands.

Elvin Ayala (25-5-2, 11KOs) won an eight round unanimous decision over late replacement Eric Mitchell (23-9-1, 11KOs) in the opener on ESPN's Friday Night Fights. In a bout for the WBC United States (USNBC) middleweight title, the judges saw it 79-73, 78-74 and 79-73. Mitchell replaced the injured Hector Camacho Jr. on short notice. Ayala outboxed Mitchell in a bout fought for the most part at a slow pace.

Williams needs to work on his foot work and head/waist movement! Lundy looked sharp and fast!! but still needs to keep his hands up bc he gets careless at times Great fight...fun to watch!!

That jab was laser sharp tonight from Lundy and it was a good win for him, that said.. he reminds me of a steve forbes. he's good, but he really doesn't have what it takes to really become elite imo…
