WBA cruiserweight champion Guillermo Jones (38-3-2, 30KOs) has instructed his promoter Don King to finalize a unification with WBO champion Marco Huck (34-1, 25KOs). Jones doesn't have any debates against facing Huck in the his backyard of Germany. Jones wants to stage this contest by the end of April 2012. Jones is recovering from a left hand injury from his recent knockout win over Mike Marrone.
"I want to unify my crown because it is a good opportunity to return to Germany, where three years ago I captured my title," Jones said. "The left hand is fine. Next Monday, I will removed the cast and begin exercises to slowly regaining my strength in that hand."
