Guerrero: First Thing Mayweather Asked For is a Rematch
By Rick Reeno
MGM Grand, Las Vegas – Mandatory challenger Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero (31-1-1, 18KOs) has lashed out at Floyd Mayweather’s claim that he barely knew who he was before their fight was finalized for this Saturday night. Guerrero claims Mayweather (43-0, 26Kos), from the start of their negotiations, demanded an immediate rematch clause. Guerrero believes Mayweather is taking him more seriously than some of his other opponents from the past.
“That’s the first thing he asked for was a rematch clause. It just shows me where his head is at. Put it this way, it’s like he said – ‘I don’t know who Robert Guerrero is....but I want a rematch.’ He knows what he’s getting himself into. The first thing you ask for is a rematch? But it's well deserved. He's undefeated. 43-0, 43 tried. I've heard it over and over like a million times. I'm going to ask him at the press conference [after the fight] to refresh my memory," Guerrero said.
I really hope Ghost his ready because he has really painted himself in a corner with all this s**ttalking. I mean you know its a lot when he has talked 3 times as much s**t as Floyd and Floyd never…Comment by Mr. Philadel on 05-01-2013

Standard procedure Robert. Someone please tell his camp that.Comment by AnimalisticMeth on 05-01-2013
The draw always has a rematch clause in the contract just in case. Sometimes they decide to use it and other times they dont but that is a standar stipulation in most of the big fights.Comment by KickAzz on 05-01-2013
