Guerrero To Berto: Once I Hit The Gas, I Won't Stop

By Ryan Burton

BoxingScene.com was recently granted exclusive access inside of Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero's training camp for his November 24th showdown again Andre Berto. The WBC interim welterweight champion is excited !out the challenge that Berto presents.

"Training has gone great. I am excited. I am excited for everyone. This is a big fight.  I can't wait for fight night," Guerrero stated.

The Gilroy, Calif. native last stepped in the ring in June when he defeated Selcuk Aydin via unanimous decision to pick up the belt. Guerrero had been out of the ring well over a year prior to that fight after undergoing shoulder surgery. Besides winnng the belt, he said that fight was important because it allowed him to see how well his shoulder would hold up.

"Getting the ring rust off was one of the main things I got out of that fight. Also testing my shoulder. That was my first fight since the surgery so it was good to go in there and test it out," Guerrero explained.

In a recent interview with Boxingscene's Luis Sandoval, Berto said that he wants to "assassinate" Guerrero on fight night. I asked Guerrero what he thought of Berto's comments and he said that he found them amusing.

"It made me smile because like I said I like to fight and it is going to take a hell of a lot to execute me so he better be ready for 12 rounds.  Whether he gets taken out of there in 2 or 3 rounds or in 12 rounds he better come ready because I will be ready to fight.  Once I put that foot on the gas its not coming off. There are no brakes," Guerrero told BoxingScene.com.

Guerrero-Berto takes place on Novemebr 24th in Ontario, CA and will be broadcast by Showtime.

i hope G wins , but if Berto pressures him it could be difficult . He'll have to frustrate Berto and make him do something stupid , which is not out of the question ...lol

Berto is Strong fast and can punch !! IF Guerrero can plaster Berto and beat him down or KO him then we have another in line for hidingweather.

I can see him doing good the first 6 but if he hasn't hurt Guerrero by then he'll probably lose
I like Guerrero but Berto is too big for this cat right hook right uppercut combo whilst inside down goes Guerrero.
i suspect Berto will end up getting to him and hurting RG as well.
