Groves: I Want To Destroy Carl Froch in Three Rounds
CARL FROCH and George Groves have agreed to a rematch at a football stadium on May 31. Froch retained his WBA and IBF titles with a controversial ninth-round stoppage of Groves in November.
But Groves complained the fight was ended too soon by referee Howard Foster.
Froch initially turned down a seven-figure offer for a rematch but terms have now been agreed for the bout after the IBF intervened.
They last month ordered Froch to fight Groves again within 90 days or risk losing his belt.
Arsenal's Emirates Stadium and Old Trafford - the home ground of Manchester United - have been mooted as possible venues.
Wembley looks unlikely to be a possible option, however, as England face Peru at Wembley on May 30, a day before the fight.
Ricky Hatton fought Luan Lazcano in front of 55,000 fans in 2008 but capacities at the Emirates and Wembley far exceed that.
Underdog Groves floored Froch in the first round first time around and was ahead on the scorecards having dominated the fight when Foster intervened.
"I'm really, really chuffed. I didn't think for one second that Carl Froch would take this fight," Groves said. "I systematically beat him from round one until round nine and as soon as he had an inkling of beating me, the referee jumped in. He's on a hiding to nothing. There's nothing he can take from the last fight that's a positive."
“I feel blessed that I am getting this fantastic opportunity to participate in what could be Britain's biggest ever boxing match. I am still shocked that Froch has agreed to take the fight. I respect him for his bravery. Now I am preparing to get in the greatest physical and mental shape possible to destroy Froch in what can only be a three-round fight. Britain will have its own Hagler-Hearns to talk about for years to come. I am counting down the days until I'm World Super Middleweight champion.”

Can't find fault in what he's saying. He has the right idea as the longer the fight goes, the better Froch's chances are. Groves needs to go in and do what he did in the first round of the first…Comment by Blu on 02-14-2014
