Ricky Hatton-trained Heavyweight prospect Nathan Gorman believes he is ready to make a bid for the British Title.

Gorman moved to 11-0 at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle in November, earning his ninth knockout against Mohamed Soltby.

With the win, he picked up the WBC International Silver belt, but the 21-year-old now wants to target the domestic scene.

"I want the British Title," he tweeted this week alongside a training video.

Sam Sexton currently holds the Lonsdale belt after beating Gary Cornish in October. Joe Joyce, another potential rival, turned pro last year and hopes to be fast-tracked towards the title.

Gorman has been linked with stablemate Daniel Dubois (6-0, 6 KOs) with promoter Frank Warren keen to make the bout when the timing is right.

“Daniel and me have already sparred numerous rounds when we were in Sheffield," Gorman said last year. "All men over 15 ½ stone carry knockout power and he’s certainly no different but I’ve never been off my feet in my life.

"We’re both unbeaten prospects so, if that remains the case, it’s bound to happen down the line.”

On February 10th at Copper Box Arena in London, Dubois defends his Southern-Area belt against Kent’s DL Jones (8-0-1). The Peacock Gym powerhouse claimed the title after knocking AJ Carter out cold in the opening round with a massive right hand at the Copper Box Arena back in September and is promising to start 2018 with another explosive KO.

“I’m ready to start 2018 with a bang,” said Dubois. “I’m working hard to be the best that I can possibly be and I’m feeling good. Everything is going great, I’m just staying in the gym, staying focused, and staying dedicated to it."
