Goofy Montes (23-3-2, 14KOs) ain't mucking around... because he's readying to fight for the WBC silver title.  Juan Jose “Goofy” Montes returns to the ring on October 12th in Nuevo Vallarta. He fights for the WBC Silver title against Julio “Pollito” Ceja (24-1, 22KOs) on the undercard of the fight between Mariana “Barbie” Juarez and Thai Buakaew Onesongchaigym. This card will be promoted by Promociones del Pueblo, Baja Boxing and De Leon Promotions, with the support of Cerveceria Corona.

The former WBC youth champion wants to keep growing and to reach his goal, which is the WBC world title.

“I’m training very, very hard. I just can’t lose this fight, I can’t let chances like this slip, if one day I want to become world champion!” Montes vowed.
