The scheduled fight between Bryan Vasquez (30-1, 16KOs) and Nicaraguan René "The Chirizo" Gonzalez (31-5-1, 23KOs), where the vacant interim World Boxing Association (WBA) super featherweight title will be at stake, may still take place on August 10th in Mexico. A few days it was being reported that the fight might go to a date in September in Costa Rica, where Vasquez is from. According to Gonzalez, his handlers have continued to assure him that his fight is going to take place on the August date in Mexico.
